Ron said there was going to be an announcement about the future of CW in the middle of August. The way I see it the middle is pretty much over and I haven't seen anything that looks like an announcement. I did drop several hints that CW 10 would not be out until Next year. I think I have other good news. Yes it is excellent News that we are having a CW 10 release. And that it will be around the time that Apple releases its next Operating system. To answer that question, I have to know what changes MW plans to the Plugin SDK for CW 10. Maybe the current version will work, maybe I will have to make changes to the plug-ins. GNU Pascal currently runs 64-bit on 64-bit platforms, so I expect that we wil be able to release a 64-bit version for Mac OS X Tiger also. I think Metrowerks has been pretty cooperative with you (Adriaan) and certainly consider your enhancements valuable to the developers community and we appreicate it. Excellent news would be that it's going to offer more than Tiger compatibility and maybe some enhancement that's so poorly implemented most people think it's not even practical to use (think language parser). In all fairness I understand that you can't discuss exactly what CW 10 might hold in store for us. OTOH, Metrowerks' history with CW over the past few years has been less than impressive, so any real information would be a plus. Larry > Yes it is excellent News that we are having a CW 10 release. I think that is excellent news By excellent I hope it doesn't mean that Metrowerks will release before Tiger for the sake of releasing and then spend the next 12 months patching it three times. In my mind, Tiger compatibility means you are going to work with Apple to ensure it works right out of the box but.
