Is it possible to feed the mcp file to one of the command line
utilities to run a complete build, without the need of creating
makefiles?

Thanks

Somewhat,  one of our engineers wrote a tool for this  (it calls the
appropriate Apple Script) but he is at WWDC this week.  Send me a line
and if I can get it I'll send it to you.
